How to customize your Company of Heroes keyboard commands using AutoHotkeys

Unfortunately there is no way to configure custom keyboard shortcuts using the in-game options, however AutoHotkey is a great application that will let you re-map your keyboard shortcuts with ease.

Step 1 – Install AutoHotkey

Step 2 – Open up notepad and paste the following script (you may customize this to whatever shortcuts you require):

#IfWinActive, Company Of Heroes 2
; f11 suspends script
; reenable long beep
; suspend short beep
f11::
Suspend
if ( A_IsSuspended )
{
SoundBeep
}
if ( !A_IsSuspended )
{
SoundBeep, 523,850
}
return
; Return enables normal chat
Return::
Suspend
if ( A_IsSuspended )
{
Send {Enter}
}
if ( !A_IsSuspended )
{
Send {Enter}
}
return
+Return::
Suspend
if ( A_IsSuspended )
{
Send +{Enter}
}
if ( !A_IsSuspended )
{
Send +{Enter}
}
return
; arrow keys

s::Down
a::Left
d::Right
; mid mouse tacmap
MButton::Numpad0
; special abilities on mouse4 mouse5
XButton1::x
XButton2::y
; controlgroups 6-10 on shift 1-5
CapsLock & 1:: Send, ^6
^+2::^7
^+3::^8

+2::7
+3::8
+4::9
+5::0
; attack here on B
b::^a
; mousewheel to navigate in unit groups
WheelDown::send ^{Tab}
WheelUp::send {Tab}

Step 3 – Save the document as coh2.ahk on your desktop

Step 4 – Open up my computer and go to your desktop, right click on the file and select ‘compile script’

Step 5 – Double click on the script file to activate it prior to playing
